Gamal H. Eltabbakh ~ MD, FRCOG, FACOG

Dr. Eltabbakh graduated with honors from Alexandria Medical School, Egypt in 1978 as one of the top one percent in his class. Dr. Eltabbakh has practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology for approximately 25 years. He was the Director of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Fletcher Allen Health Care between the years 1998-2002. He became full professor of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Internal Medicine at the University of Vermont in July 2001. He is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Gynecologic Oncology and is a fellow of both the American & Royal Colleges of OBGYN. He has published 110 papers in different areas of gynecologic oncology and two textbooks. Dr. Eltabbakh's book, Myths and Facts about Ovarian Cancer has been listed as the most popular book on ovarian cancer by Amazon.com. Dr. Eltabbakh has been selected as one of the best doctors in america.

Georgia Eltabbakh ~ MS, PA-C

Georgia was trained as a Physician Assistant in Buffalo, NY and she has been practicing in Vermont since 1998 in women's health. The areas of particular interest to her are contraception, health changes in menopause, STD prevention and gynecologic oncology. Prior to becoming a PA, she worked on her Ph.D. and did research in both basic science of endocrinology and clinical research on STD's and Pap smears, and the effect of HRT on cardiovascular risk in menopause. Georgia is also a clinical faculty member of the University of Vermont.



joanneJoanne Moody ~ RN, OCN, (Oncology Certified Nurse) chemotherapy certified
joanne Joanne obtained her Associate Degree of Science Cum Laude in Nursing from the University of Vermont in 1987. She has worked as a registered nurse in different areas of Fletcher Allen Health Care for 15 years. For seven years, she has been the senior nurse in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology. Joanne has extensive experience in gynecologic oncology patient care, chemotherapy, and triaging. She is certified in chemotherapy administration and is also an Oncology Certified Nurse.
 
debraDebra Nugent ~ CPhT, Certified Pharmacy Technician
debra Debra has worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Fletcher Allen Health Care (FAHC) for 20 years. She has been a Senior Certified Pharmacy Technician Specialist at FAHC for approximately 9 years specializing in Investigational / Research and Chemotherapy preparation. She has been at Lake Champlain Gynecologic Oncology since August 2002. Debra received her Pharmacy Technician Certification in September 1993 and Vermont State registration in October 2003. Debra has been the Technician Representative for the Vermont Society of Health Systems Pharmacist for the last 6 years.
 
debra nKaren Whitney ~ Clinical Office Assistant, Surgery Scheduling
karen Karen has been a Clinical/Surgical Office Assistant for over 20 years. She joined LCGO in March of 2017. She worked at UVM Medical Center for 17 1/2 years in the Radiology and Interventional Radiology Clinic. She has gotten to know so many people over the years and have helped them in every way she can. She works a second part-time job that she has been there for 26 years. She enjoys that job also because she sees so many of patients she has dealt with, but they are in a different mindset than in the medical field. She enjoys riding motorcycle, cooking, camping, spending time with her family and of course Stella and Lucky her fur babies.
 
debraGwen Jackson ~ Clinical Office Assistant, Surgery Scheduling
Gwen Gwen obtained a BA from the University of Vermont in 2016. She has over 10 years’ experience in customer service areas including geriatric care which she has been very passionate about. After joining LCGO in March of 2017, she has most enjoyed meeting patients and their families as well as being involved with their ongoing care. Outside of work, Gwen enjoys the summer months in Vermont, spending time down by the river, kayaking or anything outdoors.
 
debra nRegina Trainque ~ Clinical Office Assistant
regina Regina has been in customer service for over 15 years. Many of those years she worked in Eye Care. Regina has been at LCGO since July of 2017. The part Regina loves about LCGO is getting to know the patients and hearing their stories about family, animals, and treatments. In Regina’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, Camping, Kayaking, fishing and sharing a love for all animals.
 
debra Deb Aikey ~ Billing Specialist, Medical Coding Supervisor
deb Deb has been a Medical certified professional coder for over 20+ years.  She previously served in the Navy as a medical core wave which is where her passion for working in the medical field came from. Being a Medical certified professional coder has pushed her to do the best she can possibly do for the patients and the company she works for as well. It is a collaborative effort to provide the best care we can for our patients.
 
debra nLiz Smith ~ Medical Office Assistant
Liz Liz came to LCGO the summer of 2018 after nearly 20 years in social work with 12 years of that focused in program management. She has always wanted to be a nurse and LCGO offered her a place to start working on that lifetime dream.  As a Medical Assistant working with Dr. Eltabbakh in the Oncology clinic, she assists in the everyday workings of the clinic from patient intake to intra-office procedures.  Her favorite thing about working here is our patients!  She is so inspired by the strength and grace our patients show through their journey. Liz is the proud mother of 2 teenaged children and enjoys spending her time outside of work learning and growing with them through everyday life.
 
debraKatie Billado ~ Medical Office Assistant
Katie Katie started her healthcare career in the state of Connecticut as an LNA. She recently moved back home to Vermont to raise her girls and in September of 2018 she joined the LCGO team as a Medical Office Assistant. She is just starting her career and is continuing her education to become an RN. When she isn't in the office, Katie loves spending time outdoors with her daughters, as well as doing many arts and crafts.
 
debra nMichele Nydegger ~ Volunteer
michele Michele is our volunteer, who has been with us since our start. Michele fixes lunch for our chemo patients, and does laundry and ironing. Michele feels a deep sense of gratitude and friendship not only to the entire office but in particular to Dr. Gamal Eltabbakh, who is responsible for Michele's good health. In July 2001, Michele had ovarian cancer (stage 3), Dr. Eltabbakh operated on her twice and managed her chemotherapy treatment and subsequent visits. Dr. Eltabbakh has always been there for her and she feels very strongly about giving back to him.

Byada Byada has been a trusted member of our team at LCGO since 2013. For the last several years, he has brought smiles and encouragement to the team and patients alike. When he is not at daycare, he enjoys early morning sprints, swimming in the lake with dad and being by mom’s side as her trusted helper throughout the day.
